Minister of Trade Guarantees that Indonesia has the Best Palm Oil in the World

INDUSTRY.co.id - Moscow - Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita in the presence of Russian entrepreneurs ensures the quality of palm oil from Indonesia is the best in the world.

"I guarantee the quality of Indonesian palm oil, 'the best in the world'," Enggartiasto said when opening the Business Forum of Indonesian-Russian Oil Palm in Moscow, Russia, Thursday (3/8/2018)

The Business Forum is a series of Indonesian Festival II events held by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Moscow on 4 to August 6, 2017 in promoting various products and services as well as Indonesian tourism in Russia. The meeting formed the Indonesian-Russian Palm Oil Association.

The Minister of Trade assured that the objection from the European Union on Indonesian oil palm products mentioned to endanger health and cause deforestation due to environmental damage is actually a matter of trade competition because Indonesian products are very competitive.

"The objection is very unfair, I have explained to the EU and they are silent after I prove that they are not true," he said at the event also attended by Indonesian Ambassador to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus M. Wahid Supriyadi, Director General of International Trade Negotiations Iman Pambagyo, and Director General of National Export Development Arlinda.

Enggartiasto said that there is no health risk to the quality of Indonesian palm oil. Similarly, there is no concern in protecting the environment in the management of the palm oil industry.

"Please come to Indonesia, 'seeing is believing', please see how the management of palm oil in Indonesia No worries," he said.

The government, he said, strongly maintains the quality of national products to be traded "fair" in this era of free trade.
