INDUSTRY.co.id - PBNU Expects NU Citizens to Support Cak Imin as Vice President 2019Jakarta- Vice Rais Aam Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board KH Miftahul Akhyar hopes NU supporters of PKB General Chairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar who intends to run for vice president in 2019 presidential election.

"Cak Imin's candidacy should be a golden opportunity for NU's citizens to show their best cadres," said Kiai Miftah in the silaturrahim Ulama Nusantara at Progressive Pondok Pesantren Bumi Sholawat, Lebo, Sidoarjo, East Java, Saturday (31/3/2018).

Quoted from a press release, Sunday (1/4/2018) Kiai Miftah said that as the biggest mass organization, various breakthroughs and statement of NU has always been eagerly awaited by the society, and afterwards must have an impact.

Therefore, he considered that there needed to be a larger container to create a broader impact, namely the position of president and vice president.

"I heard from kiai-kiai, Cak Imin cadres that may be sold, the term, for vice president, we really do not want vice president, but the presidential candidate," he said.

The caretaker of Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Jannah, Surabaya, said that it is unbelievable that NU, which in fact is always the majority, always "miss the train" in the political sphere.

"We've always been lagging behind, always making breakthroughs, lucrative steps ahead, but not continuing." Rio-rioan (enjoying) people there," said Kiai Miftah.
