INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) asked PT. Pertamina (Persero) to maintain security (safety) related to the occurrence of an oil spill in Balikpapan Bay.
"We ask for emergency response program Pertamina is running," said Arcandra when met by media crews at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Jakarta, Thursday (5/4/2018).
The handling of oil spills should be calmly resolved to the prevailing security standards in the oil and gas sector. "It's an accident in the oil and gas management that exists, the risk should not be panic," added Arcandra.
Arcandra believes that Pertamina is solving the problem quickly and accurately. "Because the standard already exists, how Pertamina discipline handles it, I am sure they are now trying their best to clean up," he explained.
Regarding sanctions, Arcandra has not been able to decide because the incident is still under investigation of the authorities.
