OVO Cooperate with GrabPay Indonesia to Develop Electronic Wallet

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- PT Visionet International (PT VI), a local payment and finance platform company in Indonesia with OVO brand, announces that PT VI has established a partnership with GrabPay Indonesia.

This partnership will add significant Grab use case, as the largest online transport network application in Indonesia. Thanks to the collaboration of OVO and GrabPay to integrated electronic wallets, OVO will have over fifty million users and become the largest and most open payment platform in Indonesia.

Anthony Tan Co-Founder and CEO Grab said it is pleased to partner with OVO to create a digital payment platform that can have a positive impact on the people of Indonesia by enabling the use of e-money anytime and anywhere in shopping malls, stalls or even by online.

"With the support of Kudo and PayTren agents in developing the largest payment platform in Southeast Asia, we believe that we can spur and lead the development of financial inclusion in Indonesia," Anthony Tan said in an official statement received by INDUSTRY.co.id on Thursday (12 / 4/2018).

This partnership will move using PT VI entity and OVO brand. As part of the partnership, PT VI will ensure on-shoring and data security, regulatory compliance, and maintaining the risk and compliance system.

In addition, this partnership will also leverage Grab's global knowledge and technological capabilities.

Meanwhile, Lippo Group Director John Riady said transportation is a very important part of everyday life of Indonesian society, so it is very enthusiastic to welcome Grab to enter the OVO ecosystem.

"We are excited to see how OVO can make integrated and easy payments and financial services for our customers and we look forward to continuing to develop an open ecosystem through other partnerships," said John Riady.
