PT Antam Shares Dividend Rp 47.77 Billion

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Annual General Meeting of Shareholders PT Antam Tbk (ANTM) agreed to distribute dividends of Rp 47.77 billion or 35 percent of total net profit of 2017 of Rp136.51 billion.
"The dividend of the distributed fiscal year of 2017 is equivalent to Rp1, 99 per share," said Antam President Director Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo in Jakarta, Thursday (12/4/2018).
He added that while the remaining net profit of book year 2017, approximately Rp88 billion will be placed as retained earnings in order to support the company's business in the future.
He said in 2017 Antam booked a net profit of Rp136.51 billion, an increase of 111 percent compared to the previous year which amounted to Rp64 billion.
In 2018, he added, it remains committed to growth through the implementation and acceleration of development projects as well as improving the quality and value of mineral reserves.
"The company is currently implementing the construction of the East Halmahera ferronickel plant (P3FH) with 38 percent of the construction progress, P3FH will support Antam's total ferronickel production capacity of 40,500 to 43,500 tonnes of nickel in ferronickel," he said.
He added that the company is still focusing on the plan to build Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) in cooperation with PT Inalum (Company) as a form of synergy implementation in mining industry holding.
"SGAR is the raw material for aluminum plant, will have a production capacity of 1 million tons of alumina per year for stage 1. In line with Antam's significant bauxite reserves, the SGAR project is strategic for both companies," he said.
Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo said that this year Antam allocated capital expenditure (capex) of Rp3.3 trillion. Capex funds are obtained through internal and external cash funds.
