INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 20 of 2018 on the Use of Foreign Workers (TKA) is considered to have ignored the important provisions previously arranged. One of them is eliminating the rules of Foreign Workers Placement Permit (IPTA).

The substance in Perpres No. 20 removes IPTA. So now there's no permission. Whereas initially to get permission is not easy," said Deputy President of the Confederation of Indonesian Workers Union (KSPI) Muhammad Rusdi.

With the regulation, according to him, foreign workers will be easier to work in Indonesia without passing the stages and meet certain requirements. Simply apply for a Limited Stay Permit Card (Kitas), he said, and then TKA can complete the process just two days before working in Indonesia.

To that end, Rusdi rate perpres actually eliminate the important points before the TKA working in Indonesia. "This trimming means that the procedure is more easy for foreign workers," Rusdi said.

With the loss of permit arrangement then he think will cause the potential of foreign workers who come to Indonesia more. Not only had a matter of permission, Rusdi assessed the requirements of foreign workers who must be competent also missing.

Similarly, the adjustment of Indonesian language which according to him is not in the rules in the new Perpres and other things. Not to mention the obligations of foreign workers in Indonesian language, the ratio 1:10 (one foreign worker and 10 local labor) was all removed. "Competent is lost, they will not be considered," explained Rusdi.

Presidential Decree Number 20 of 2018 was passed to replace Presidential Decree Number 72 Year 2014 on the Use of Foreign Workers. The previous rule has been made since the reign of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
