INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Member of House of Representatives Commission VII Rofi Munawar asked the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and law enforcement officers to immediately conduct an investigative audit and investigation of the occurrence of oil well fire in East Aceh.

"Immediately conduct a comprehensive investigative audit and investigation, as well as appropriate and appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs), enforce the rules and strict actions that have caused the incident to occur," said Rofi Munawar in a press release received in Jakarta Thursday / 4/2018).

Members of the Prosperous Justice Party Faction (FPKS) expressed concern over the burning of oil wells that have resulted in the deaths. He asked the relevant officials to immediately sterilize and anticipate various measures in the localization.

Earlier, on Wednesday (25/4/2018) at around 1:30 pm, a severe fire broke out in a crude oil drilling kitchen in East Aceh, resulting in at least 18 people dead and a dozen others injured by a fire that burned the oil blast from oil drilling wells it exploded.

"The ESDM Ministry should immediately ascertain whether there is any 'mismanagement' in the fire of the oil well. There should be more effective coaching on old wells managed by the people, given the location, the area is part of the Oil and Gas Working Area managed by Pertamina EP Asset I together with Regional Owned Enterprises," he said.

Legislator from East Java explains, if it is traditional old well managed by society traditionally it must be according to Regulation of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (Permen) ESDM No.01 Year 2008 About Guidance of Petroleum Mining Concession at Old Well.

The regulation is particularly concerned with Article 9 concerning the Implementation of Petroleum Production, and Article 12-15 concerning the Development and Supervision, and the beleid of Article 16 concerning sanctions.

"According to the information of the wells burning up to 250 meters deep, it should be questioned, usually only 50-150 meters, should be above 150 meters, not the Village Unit Cooperatives (KUD) that hold, considering the technology is not appropriate," he said.
