INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Singapore still tops the list as the most invested investor in Indonesia during the first three months in Indonesia.
"Singapore is still top with an investment value of 2.65 billion US dollars in the first quarter of 2018," said Capital Investment Coordinating Board Implementation Board (BKPM) Azhar Lubis in exposure to investment realization in Jakarta on Monday (30/4/2018).
The second position is occupied by Japan with a total investment of 1.36 billion US dollars, followed by South Korea with 940 million US dollars.
In the fourth position, China stands with an investment of 676.2 million US dollars and in fifth position is Hong Kong with 516.1 million US dollars.
Azhar explains, although the position of China down one rank, but in figures, the investment value Bamboo Curtain country continues to increase compared to the same period the previous year.

On the same occasion, the Head of BKPM Thomas Trikasih Lembong said that the increasing trend of Chinese investment is happening not only in Indonesia but also around the world.
China is the number one trading partner of 121 countries in the world. In addition, the country is also a major source of international tourists from many countries around the world, especially after becoming the largest economy in Asia Pacific.
"So naturally mathematically China must be one of the biggest investors in almost all countries in Asia Pacific, even the world," he said.
BKPM recorded realization of investment during the first quarter of 2018 amounting to Rp185.3 trillion, an increase of 11.8 percent over the same period in 2017 of Rp165, 8 trillion.
The realization of domestic investment (PMDN) of Rp76, 4 trillion rose 11 percent from the same period the previous year amounted to Rp68, 8 trillion.
There was also the realization of foreign investment (PMA) of Rp108, 9 trillion up 12.4 percent from the achievement in the same period the previous year amounting to Rp97 trillion.
Total employment during January-March 2018 reached 201,239 people.
