Being a Witness Project Case Ministry of PUPR Fiscal Year 2016, Minister Basuki Recognizes Not Knowing RE

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono admitted to not knowing the East Halmahera Regent Rudi Erawan who has been designated as a suspect of corruption in the receipt of prize related to the project in the Ministry of PUPR Fiscal Year 2016.
"I was summoned by Rudi Erawan and asked if I knew Mr. Rudi, I did not know him," Basuki said after undergoing inspection at the KPK building, Jakarta, Monday (5/14/2018).
The KPK on Monday examined Basuki as a witness to the suspect Rudi Erawan.
In addition, Minister Basuki also admitted to being confirmed by KPK about the process of appointment of Amran Hi Mustary as an officer of the Head of National Road Implementing Agency (BPJN) IX Maluku and North Maluku at that time.
"The core of the question is the process of appointment of Amran as Head of Balai, and the process of appointment of Amran as Head of Balai has been following the process in the Office of Consideration of Position and Duty at the Ministry of PUPR," said Basuki.
But he admitted to not confirming the investigator about the flow of funds or money in the case.
"I was not asked about that, I came to call the suspect Rudi Erawan, so there is no question about money just about the appointment of Mr. Amran as Head of the Hall," said Basuki.
Previously, the Commission has set Rudi Erawan as a suspect on January 31, 2018 ago. Currently, the concerned has been detained in Rutan Klas 1 Jakarta Timur Branch KPK.
In that case, Rudi Erawan is also suspected of receiving gratuities related to his post and which is contrary to his duties or duties.
For his actions, Rudi Erawan is suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or Article 12 letter b or Article 12B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 Year 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
Rudi Erawan is the 11th suspect in the case. Previously, the KPK has assigned 10 others as suspects related to the project in the Ministry of PUPR Fiscal Year 2016.
The 10 suspects include President Director of PT Windu Tunggal Utama Abdul Khoir, Head of the National Road Implementing Agency (BPJN) IX Maluku and North Maluku Amran Hi Mustary, commissioner of PT Cahaya Mas Perkasa So Kok Seng, Julia Prasetyarini from private element, Dessy A Edwin as a housewife and five members of the House of Representatives Damayanti Wisnu Putranti, Budi Supriyanto, Andi Taufan Tiro, Musa Zainudin, and Yudi Widiana Adia.
The suspects have been convicted in the Jakarta Corruption Court.
Investigators obtained the facts supported by evidence in the form of testimony of witnesses, letters and electronic goods that the suspect Amran Hi Mustary during the position of Head of the National Road Implementing Agency (BPJN) IX Maluku and North Maluku several times has received some money from suspects Abdul Khoir and various other contractors.
Part of the money is then given by Amran Hi Mustary to Rudi Erawan. Allegedly Rudi Erawan received a total of about Rp6, 3 billion.
The case stems from the arrest of members of the House of Representatives Damayanti Wisnu Putranti along with three others, namely Julia Prasetyarini, Dessy A Edwin, and Abdul Khoir in Jakarta in January 2016.
At that time, the investigator secured money 33 thousand Singapore dollars from the hands of Julia Prasetyarini and Dessy A Edwin. The money is part of a bribe given to members of the House of Representatives to secure the project at the Ministry of PUPR Fiscal Year 2016. (ant)
