Helicopter Ride for Bintan Island Tour Rates Starting Rp1, 5 Million

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Take a helicopter to enjoy a tour of Bintan Island, Riau Islands, from Rp1.5 million to Rp2 million per person, said Director of Whitesky Aviation Denon Prawiraatmadja as a helicopter service provider.
Denon explained after the signing of cooperation with PT Bintan Aviation Investments at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, Monday (7/8/2017) said the rate per flight from Rp6 million to Rp8 million for travel approximately 140 kilometers.
"Actually not so much different between Jakarta-Bandung with Singapore-Bintan, we charge per flight, Rp6-8 million, so per person can Rp1, 5-2 million," he said.
The flight will start in April 2018.
He explained that the development of this time is focused on the Western Region of Indonesia because of its enormous potential and existing infrastructure, compared to the eastern region whose infrastructure for helicopters has not been so supportive.
"The plan in the Bintan area to be one of the 'base' that supports the activities of Singapore, Batam and Johor," he said.
He said that by expanding the work unit to the Western Region, it is expected that the utilization or the use of helicopters will increase along with the plan to bring up to 40 units of helicopters.
Because, he added, in Bintan will also be developed aircraft maintenance center (MRO) for helicopters.
In addition to tourism, we also plan to operate helicopter flights from and to the helicopter base (base) in Bintan. Also built FBO (fixed base operator) and MRO (maintenance repair overhaul) helicopter at Bintan Aerospace Industry Park as well as helicopter flight school, "he said.
He said that his side, in operating the helicopter will utilize facilities at the work area of Bintan Resort, Bintan Airport, Aerospace Industry Park, and Southlinks Country Club Batam.
The helicopter helicopter services offered by Whitesky include Helitour, Helicity and Helimedic.
On the same occasion, Managing Director of Bintan Aviation Investments Michael Wudy said it would develop MRO for helicopters at the scope of Bintan Airport and Aerospace Industry Park.
"Building a MRO for helicopters is a logical consequence of operations in Bintan and we also have helicopter flight school activities," he said.
