This year Air Asia will bring in three Airbus planes

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk confirmed to add three new Airbus A320 aircraft fleet by 2018.

President Director of PT Air Asia Indonesia Tbk, Dendy Kurniawan said, the addition of this fleet will be done gradually in mid and late 2018.

"We plan to add three planes in July and December," he said

Dendy said the addition of this fleet is quite a lot compared to last year. Over the past year, the company has only added one aircraft.

With the addition of three aircraft fleet, continued Dendy, the total number of AirAsia fleet to 18 units. Currently, the new company has 15 units of aircraft with nine domestic and 21 international flight routes.

In addition to the addition of three new aircraft, Air Asia has also added new flight routes. That is the Medan-Singapore flight route.

"The new route will be there, later if we are certain to announce it, for now it is new," he said.
