Baznas Bandung Distributes Zakat to 11,328 Mustahik

INDUSTRY.co.id - Bandung - Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) of Bandung distributes zakat profession to the 11,328 mustahik (recipient) at Al Ukhuwah Grand Mosque, Bandung, Wednesday (6/6/2018)
The handover of zakat profession was done symbolically by the Regional Secretary of Bandung Dadang Supriatna to the recipient, i.e. non-civil servant (PHL) non-civil servant (PNS) in Bandung City Government.
"Non-civil servants are various, there is Linmas (Community Protection), troops Scrooge (Culvert Clean), and the cleaners, but the core that receives this is not a civil servant," said Dadang.
He said the division of the PHL as an appreciation of its performance to help Bandung City Government. Through them, various achievements successfully landed to the city of Bandung, one of Adipura Cup.
"Thanks to the hard work of the Scrooge team keep the environment clean and beautiful, we want to share, they are not regulated in the government's provisions (on THR)," he said.
On the distribution this time, Baznas allocated Rp4 billion. Everyone gets Rp.300.000, or up from last year which amounted to Rp.250.000.
According to him, the division of zakat is routinely done by the City Government of Bandung. Zakat funds derived from the collection of zakat profession civil state apparatus (ASN) Bandung.
"The fund is managed by Baznas, one of the sources of Baznas' acceptance is the profession of the civil servant, of course there are other sources of income," he said.
Meanwhile, Bandung Baznas Internal Auditor Cece Hidayat said the zakat funding profession from ASN Bandung that reached Rp2, 2 billion per month was not only distributed to the mustahik, also used for other people benefit. "Every month we give capital aid to the poor, 1,000 people per month, Rp1 million per person," he said.
In addition, Baznas Bandung also utilizes zakat funds for humanitarian assistance. Baznas provide assistance to disaster victims in Bandung, such as fire disaster in Malabar, floods in Arcamanik, and floods of Gedebage whose magnitudes vary.
