INDUSTRY.co.id - Karawang- A number of trillions of rupiah investments are being launched by a number of countries in the Middle East and South Asia. The government continues to seek a number of Middle Eastern countries to invest in Indonesia
"They (the Middle East countries) are rich countries, investing heavily in America and Europe, why not in Indonesia," said President Jokowi during a visit to Pondok Pesantren Asshiddiqiyah III, Cilamaya Kulon, Karawang regency, West Java, Wednesday (6/6) / 2018)
He said Indonesia is seeking to build intensive bilateral relations with Middle Eastern and South Asian countries to improve Indonesia's economy.
"Why (Middle East countries) do not (invest) to Indonesia, I ask why not to Indonesia, the answer because we have never been in the area of their country," he said.
Upon that answer, President Jokowi admitted directly ordered his ministers to stay in touch with the Middle East countries, at least once in three months they have to visit the Middle East and South Asia.
"Like a refinery in Cilacap by cooperation with Saudi Arabia, Then it is in Kalimantan by Qatar and Oman, UAE investments in Kuala Tanjung, of course this is a hope to reap the benefits to the Indonesian nation," he said.
President Jokowi believes Indonesia will become the country with the largest economic growth in the world.
"With good political stability, development will go ahead, I am sure by 2045, our country will enter into the top 4 of the world's largest economy, of course there are many obstacles, but the temptations are many, but by Allah's permission," he said.
