BI: Society Has Swapped New Rupiah Currency Reaches Rp 187.8 Trillion

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Bank Indonesia recorded a new money exchange for the needs of Lebaran 2018 in various locations have reached as much as Rp 187.8 trillion has been distributed to the community. Where this year BI has prepared new money amounting to Rp 188.2 trillion or an increase of 15.3 percent from last year's requirement of Rp 163.2 trillion.
Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Rosmaya Hadi said, if described by region, the largest money changer occurred in the Greater Jakarta area, or reach 42, 9 percent. Then accompanied by the region of North Sumatra and Aceh, each of which reached 19, 3 percent.
"Then we see how it is today where the last day, which is the day of the critical week for money changers," said Rosmaya.
Rosmaya said, preparation of BI is right to address the needs of money changers in Ramadan this year. Moreover, there is Lebaran holiday which is longer than the previous year, or there is giving THR and salary to-14 that increase nominal.
"So usually we every year, the money supply approaching Eid ul-Fitr we raise 13, 9 percent. But this year (up) 15, 3 percent, so from last year Rp163, 2 trillion is currently Rp188, 2 trillion. We raise higher than usual in the last five years because we anticipate, "he said
