Throughout 2017, Electronic City Income Reach Rp1, 8 Trillion

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Electronic City Indonesia Tbk (ECII) revenues in 2017 reached Rp1,818 trillion, up 9.6 percent from Rp1,659 trillion in 2016.
"In 2017, the financial performance improvement is better than 2016," said Vice President Finance HR & GA PT Electronic City Indonesia Tbk Evelyn Hendarta after Public Expose in Jakarta, Thursday (21/6/20018)
He said that in 2017 the company remains consistent in implementing sustainable efficiency in terms of operating expenses, and improving the best service for customers to achieve sales targets.
One new thing is the expense of promotional expenses that began to be enlarged portion on the use of digital media marketing compared with the conventional way newspapers so that efficiency occurs without reducing the goal to get more visitors into the store.
"Net income was recorded at Rp20.7 billion, down compared to 2015 of Rp37 billion," she said.
This decrease is due to maintaining the inventory value of new and not out of date products.
In addition, the closing of six stores that did not reach the target, while the company must bear the operating costs associated with stores that are opened.
"The closing of the outlet depends on sales performance, we always evaluate, if there is a burden on the company's finances and not reach the target, yes, we have to close the shop," she said.
Meanwhile, Marketing Director of Electronic City Wiradi admitted optimistic growth this year will reach double digits.
In the first quarter of 2018, the company recorded sales growth of 8 percent.
At the end of the year, product sales at Electronic City outlets usually increase due to Christmas and New Year celebrations.
