Zulhan-Prabowo Expects KPU and Bawaslu to Hold Election of a Fair and Democratic Regional Head.

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Chairman of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto Party and Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly, Zulkifli Hasan who is also Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) held a meeting to address the implementation of elections in conjunction 2018.

The meeting was held at the house of the chairman of the MPR RI Zulkifli Hasan in Kompleks State High Official Widya Chandra, Jakarta, Monday (25/06/2018).

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly, Ahmad Muzani, Secretary General of Gerindra Party, Member of House of Representative Yandri Susanto (Deputy Secretary General of PAN), and Member of Parliament Mulfachri Harahap (Chairman of DPP PAN).

The meeting was held closed for about 30 minutes. After the meeting, Zulkifli Hasan said, is currently in a quiet period before the election simultaneously on Wednesday, June 27, 2017.

Zulkifli asked the election organizers, namely KPU and Bawaslu, to be able to hold elections fairly and democratically.

Zulkifli also asked the security apparatus of the Police and TNI to be neutral in the implementation of elections in 2018 and the 2019 election. "Polri and TNI are state institutions, so it must be neutral, TNI and Police are red and white so they have to defend the country by keeping the unity of the nation," he said. .

Meanwhile, Prabowo said he agreed with the statement of Zulkifli Hasan.

According to Prabowo, Indonesia is a democracy, where the electoral process of the people is based on people's choice, so the elected leaders become "legitimate".

"I want the election process of leaders in Indonesia, both local leaders and national leaders can take place in a democratic and peaceful," he said.
