INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - England Ambassador to Indonesia Rob Fenn said that the 2018 Asian Games event in Jakarta and Palembang will leave a legacy of infrastructure that will be very useful for Indonesia in the future.
"The Indonesian government is making a good policy because it decides to improve the various infrastructures within the framework of the Asian Games, which in turn can become a legacy that will continue to exist," said Rob Fenn in Jakarta, Tuesday (26/6/2018)
He also said that the British government is very supportive of the implementation of the Asian Games in Indonesia.
"We are also taking part in supporting Indonesia as host of this year's Asian Games, one of them in velodrome building project, where UK is commercially involved," he said.
The velodrome project in Jakarta does involve an English company ES Global as its main contractor.
For example, Rob said that the velodrome facility in Britain, built as a venue for the 2012 Olympics games, is now a marker of England's velodrome technology.
"Since the construction of the velodrome, the UK inherited velodrome technology that we can sell to the world until now," he said.
