INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Asludin Hatjani, defense attorney for Aman Rahman's terrorism case, said that his side will not appeal against the verdict of death sentence handed down by the South Jakarta District Court judge against his client.

"As a lawyer requested by Ustaz Aman not to appeal, the family (Aman) himself only conveyed that the death was already determined by Allah SWT," Asludin said in a short message to Antara in Jakarta, Friday (29/6/2018)

Meanwhile, the prosecutor is currently waiting for a copy of the decision from the South Jakarta District Court. If the verdict already has permanent legal force, execution can be executed immediately.

"We are waiting for the full verdict and report to the leadership," he said.

South Jakarta District Court Judge Akhmad Jaini has sentenced Aman Abdurrahman to death in a court hearing at the South Jakarta District Court on Friday (22/6). The verdict is the same as the prosecutor.

Previously, the Public Prosecutor had demanded Aman with the sentence of capital punishment in the trial with the agenda of reading the demands in the South Jakarta District Court on Friday, May 18, 2018.

Aman was charged with involvement in the bombing of Thamrin, the bombing of the Church of Oikumene in Samarinda, the case of Kampung Melayu bombing, as well as the attack in Bima (NTB), and the assault case of North Sumatra Police Headquarters. He is accused of playing the role of mastermind behind the terror.

Safe should be released from prison on August 17, 2017 after serving a nine-year sentence for his involvement in military training of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) in Jalin mountains, Aceh Besar district in 2010.

However, on August 18, 2017, the police established Aman as a suspect for allegedly involved in the terror attacks of Bomb Thamrin.

Safe snared with Law No. 15 of 2003 on Combating Terrorism Crime.
