INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Vice President Jusuf Kalla said Indonesia has a bargaining position to host the 2032 Olympics if the 2018 Asian Games event runs smoothly with the readiness of the arena.

"The Venue is ready, we thank you that the schedules and venues are all the best in the world ... I see the Olympic complex in London, we are here at Senayan so much better that we start to have pride for the Olympics," said Jusuf. Kalla after leading the 2018 Asian Games preparation meeting at the Office of Inasgoc Senayan, Jakarta, Friday (06/29/2010)

With the completion of the development of the sports arena for the 2018 Asian Games, then Indonesia already has value to hold the 2032 Olympics, after the 2024 Paris Olympics and Los Angeles 2028.

"Our chances are 'bid' for the year 2032, but it depends on the 'venue' or the organization of this Asian Games," he said.

In addition to the development of the international sports arena, Indonesia's self-confidence to offer itself as the host of the Olympics arose due to the presence of International Olympic Committee (OIC) President Thomas Bach in the closing of the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta.

"This is the first time the IOC president has come to the close of the Asian Games, he will stay three days in Indonesia, he comes at the closing and not at the opening because he wants to see the success of the Asian Games," said 2016 Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) Erick Thohir .

Countries that are likely to become Indonesia's competitors in the Olympic bid are Africa and India.
