INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Director of Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) Inarno Djajadi said the acceleration of transaction settlement in exchange from T + 3 to T + 2 will make transactions in capital market more efficient.

"With T + 2 it will be more efficient, so the members of the bourse are also preparing for their 'trading limit' to be more flexible. Usually it should provide the funds for three days; this is for two days only, so it will be more efficient for bourse members. Liquidity also increased, "said Inarno at BEI Building, Jakarta, Monday (2/7/2018)

T + 2 as announced by the Indonesian Clearing and Guarantee Corporation (KPEI) will be applied on November 26, 2018.

Inarno said, in terms of infrastructure it is ready to implement T + 2. However, it is still being done in preparation from the clearing side or back office of bourse members.

"I think that's a lot more to the back office of the bourse members, we're watching it and we expect it to be done," Inarno said.

In addition, the BEI is also preparing the rules related to the implementation of T + 2 and also ensures every member of the stock is ready to apply the program.

"We actually have socialization, but in the near future we will be socialized back to the members of the exchange," he said.

Associated with the reduction of the number of stock units in one lot where currently one lot amounts to 100 shares, Inarno said it is still discourse on internal BEI itself.

"Not yet, so it's a new discourse, we're concentrating on T + 2 first, so it's still a bit far, maybe we should have first studies about what that investor needs," Inarno said. (Ant)
