President Jokowi Inaugurated PLTB Sidrap South Sulawesi

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo and Mrs. Iriana Joko Widodo leave for South Sulawesi Province to conduct a working visit, one of which is to inaugurate the Bayu Power Plant (PLTB) in Sidenreng Rappang Regency with a capacity of 75 Megawatts.
The presidential party left for the province on Monday (2/7/2018) at 07:40 pm by boarding the Presidential plane of Indonesia-1 through Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta.
At 10:50 WITA, the group arrived at Sultan Hasanuddin Air Force Base, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi Province was greeted by Pj Governor of South Sulawesi Sumarsono.
Then the President and First Lady went straight to Parepare City on the Super Puma Helicopter of the Air Force.
"In Parepare City, the President will hand over the land title certificates to the community in Andi Makasau Square," said the written statement from the Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media Secretariat of President Bey Machmudin.
Furthermore, the President's entourage goes to Desa Lainungan, Watang Pulu Sub-district, Sidenreng Rappang or Sidrap Regency to inaugurate and review Sidrap PLTB that can generate 75 MW of electricity capacity.
The plant is the first PLTB operating in Indonesia. The PLTB has 30 windmills with 80 meter tall towers and a 57-meter propeller blade that each drives a 2.5 MW turbine. So the total capacity produced by 30 turbines is 75 MW.
After inaugurating the PLTB Sidrap, the President was planned to inaugurate the Punagaya Steam Power Plant (PLTU) with a capacity of 2x100 MW and Jeneponto 2x135 MW Expansion Power Plant by signing the inauguration inscription.
In the evening, the President and his entourage will head to Wajo Regency for overnight and continue work visitation on Tuesday (3/7).
A number of officials accompanying the President on the flight to South Sulawesi Province are State Secretary Pratikno, Head of Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono, Special Staff of President Johan Budi, Military Secretary of President Marsda TNI Trisno Hendradi and Paspampres Commander Maj. Gen. Suhartono.
