Ministry of Agriculture Determined to Mudeng Farmer Technology

INDUSTRY.co.id - Lembang - Extension Agency and Agricultural Human Resource Development (BPPSDMP) is determined to give birth to entrepreneurial farmers who are ready to compete in the global market through agricultural extension schools that have become Agricultural Development Polytechnics.
Thus said the Secretary of BPPSDMP, Andriko Notosusanto when receiving a press visit in Ambon Wood, Lembang, West Java, Thursday (12/07/2018).
Andriko added that what needs to be changed from the farmers is the mindset that the profession of farmers able to live prosperous. The existence of the Polytechnic of Agricultural Development will give birth to a new generation of farmers who mudeng with technology
The understanding of technology by farmers will have an impact on production and market, because it facilitates access to information on these sectors. If compared to housewives, our farmers are still lagging behind in the understanding and utilization of technology.
"Only 7 to 8% are mudeng with technology, losing to housewives," said Bandel Sutopo, Head of Lembang Agricultural Training Center (BBPPL).
Currently BBPP Lembang already has aeroponic technology that is able to increase the production of 100 bulbs per seed through culture network, provided that the seeds obtained are free from viruses and bacteria. Another advantage with this technology, namely making plants rich in nutrients and healthy.
