Malaysia Targets 33.1 Million Tourist Visits Abroad

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Malaysia targets the visit of foreign tourists as much as 33.1 million people until the end of 2018. This was disclosed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia.
"We are targeting the world's top 10 as the top destinations of travelers, up from the 12th position recorded last year," said Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, Mohamaddin Ketapi.
Ketapi said that after the inauguration of the International Day of Association (HMA) Nationality Level 2018 in the courthouse Memorial Pengisytiharan Independence, Bandar Hilir.
Between January and April, he said, as many as 8.47 million foreign tourists have visited the country.
"Melaka has been pursued by the ministry as the most popular tourist destination in the country after Kuala Lumpur." Since 1999, the presence of travelers to the country has increased with the highest attendance reaching 16.79 million last year, "he said.

On the occasion, Ketapi hopes that the ease of museums throughout the country will be upgraded to international rankings and worthy of Malaysia Tourism Quality Assurance or MyTQA.
