Semester I 2018, Production of DNSG Tbs Down to 16 Percent

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Up to the first six months of 2018, PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk's total fresh fruit bunch (TBS) production has reached 697 thousand tons, down about 16% compared to the same period last year.

Nevertheless, in the last three months, the production of FFB has begun to show improvement due to the return of normal harvest after the previous quarter is still adjusting the harvest pattern due to the after-effects of El-Nino.

President Director of the Company, Andrianto Oetomo, said that entering the second half of this year, the Company's operational performance began to show significant improvements, as the normal harvest pattern that resulted in the increase of FFB in the second quarter compared to the beginning of the year.

"We are optimistic to enter the second half, the performance of the garden will return to normal, because the yield began to recovery in the second half," he said in Jakarta on Wednesday (1/8/2018).

In the second quarter of 2018, TBS production was recorded at 401 thousand tons, an increase of 35% compared to the first quarter of 2018.

Meanwhile, the Company's CPO production in the first six months of this year was recorded at 187 thousand tons, a decrease of 12% over the same period last year.
