INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is optimistic that the sports division of Pencak Silat will contribute more than 2 (two) gold medals at the XVIII Asian Games, which will be held in the coming days.

President Jokowi's optimism was conveyed to the journalists after reviewing the venue of the Pencak Silat sports branch for the XVIII Asian Games, at Padepokan Pencak Silat, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) Jakarta, Monday (6/8).

"Indeed in the target conveyed by Menpora (Minister of Youth and Sports) to me, at least two gold. But I believe with this that has been shown to us all, I am sure that there will be more than two gold, "said President Jokowi.

The president, who saw the Pencak Silat training center directly at TMII, even hoped that the sports of pencak silat would get as much gold as possible.

"I believe that, God willing, because long-term training for 3 years will definitely produce a result at the 2018 Asian Games," said President Jokowi.
