President Jokowi: 2018 Asian Games Become an Important Moment of Peace

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received an honorary visit from the Prime Minister (PM) of South Korea (South Korea) Lee Nak-Yon and Deputy Prime Minister of North Korea (North Korea) Ri Ryong Nam at Cofftea House, Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Jakarta, Sunday (18 / 8/2018) night.

On that occasion President Jokowi expressed his appreciation for the formation of the two Korean joint contingents at the XVIII Asian Games in 2018, which were held in Jakarta and Palembang, August 18-2 next September.

"The Asian Games are an important moment that can continue to strengthen peace and friendship between South Korea and North Korea," President Jokowi said at the meeting as stated by the Deputy for Protocol, Press, Media and Information (BPMI) Presidential Secretariat (Setpres), Bey Mahmudin, Sunday (8/18) night.

The President expressed Indonesia's hopes for the positive developments that have taken place in the past, hopefully it can be followed up so that stability and peace on the Korean peninsula can be created soon.

"Indonesia consistently continues to support peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula," said President Jokowi.

Appearing to accompany President Jokowi on the occasion included Coordinating Minister PMK Puan Maharani, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, and Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.
