INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated (QCOM), announced that its newest mobile platform series will use system-on-chip (SoC) built on 7nm fabrication.

The 7nm SoC will be supported by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem chip and is expected to become the first 5G mobile platform to power premium smartphones and other mobile devices.

"Qualcomm Technologies' leadership in sustainable research and technical expertise enables future innovation improvements in various sectors, in line with 5G connectivity that will be increasingly easy to find everywhere," continued Amon

This flagship 5G mobile platform is designed to enable premium smart devices that provide new intuitive experiences and interactions with AI capabilities on a device (on-device) that saves power, battery life and outstanding performance while at the same time extending the coverage area to to innovative technologies, solutions, experiences and applications in the automotive and IoT fields.

Further details related to Qualcomm Technologies' future mobile flagship platform are planned to be announced in the fourth quarter of 2018.
