Hasnur Jaya International and Itochu Sign Additional Purchases in Coal of 2 Million Tons

INDUSTRY.co.id - Tokyo - PT Hasnur Jaya International (HJI) signed a new contract with Itochu Corporation. The two companies signed an agreement on the addition of 500,000 tons of coal orders this year.
Etsuo Kiyota's Deputy General Manager of Itochu Corporation's Coal & Nuclear Fuel Department, Coal and Nuclear Fuel Department, with Hendra Santoso, Director of Bhumi Rantau Energi, a subsidiary of Hasnur Jaya International.
With the addition of this order, the total purchase of coal from Hasnur Jaya International for Itochu became 2 million tons throughout 2018. Itochu has been one of the major clients of Hasnur.
In fact, the cooperation between the two companies has been going on since 2012. The total order of Itochu coal to Hasnur Jaya reached 21 million tons from 2012 to 2021.
With the addition of an order of 500,000 tons of this ton, the total this year increased to 2 million tons from 1.5 million tons this year, said Finance Director Hasnur Group Syamsul Bachri Djadi in Tokyo, Japan, Friday (08/24/2018).
Etsuo said, adding Itochu's order was in line with Itochu's needs. Our collaboration has been going on for a long time since 2012, Etsuo said.
Trust in fulfilling requests according to the contract makes the cooperative relationship last a long time. Apagi, Hasnur is an integrated company that has complete infrastructure, said Etsuo.
Hendra added the addition of this additional purchase uses the price of US $ 45 per ton. That way, the additional contract value is around US $ 90 million, Hendra said.
As for the total orders of up to 21 million tons, Hendra could not mention his value because he was bound by the contract rules and the provisions of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). Hasnur Jaya Internasional (HJI) is a mining sub holding owned by Hasnur Group. The focus of this group's business is coal mining. There are two subsidiaries of Hasnur Group namely PT Energi Batubara Lestari and PT Bhumi Rantau Energi. In addition, Hasnur Jaya International also has its own port (port) and ships to transport coal itself.
