Welcoming RI's 72nd Anniversary, PT Timah-Dua BUMN Renovating Veterans Home

INDUSTRY.co.id - Riau Islands - PT Timah, PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI), PT Batam Island Industrial Enterprise (PDIP Batam) celebrated the 72nd Independence Day of Indonesia by conducting renovation program of veteran fighters' houses in a number of areas.

"This is an expression of respect and pride to the fighters who have sacrificed for our generation who enjoy this independence," said President Director of PT Timah (Persero) Tbk. Riza Pahlevi, Thursday (17/08/2017)

President Director of PT Timah was accompanied by Plt. Deputy for Construction of Transportation Facilities and Infrastructures of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises Fajar Yudisiawan, President Director of Batam Island Industrial Enterprise (PDIP Batam) Teuku Afrizam, and President Director of the Indonesian Bureau of Classification (BKI) Rudiyanto.

Riza Pahlevi became the inspector of the 72nd anniversary ceremony of Indonesian Independence in PT Timah's work area on Kundur Island, Karimum Regency, Riau Islands. The ceremony was followed by all leaders and employees of PT Timah and leaders of PT PDIP Batam and PT BKI.

In his mandate as a ceremonial inspector, Riza stated that the joint arrangement with the three BUMNs is a synergy of the state-owned enterprises. This, added Riza, in line with the mandate of President Joko Widodo in a state speech that raised the importance of cooperation among state institutions, including all state-owned enterprises.

Veteran home renovation is one of a series of State-Owned Enterprises Attendance for the State at the time of August 17th.
