INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The United Development Party believes that effective communication between Megawati Soekarnoputri and the Sixth President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in the celebration of Indonesia's 72nd Birthday on Thursday (17/8/2017).

"In the era of President Jokowi a rare moment occurred that is the meeting between Mrs. Megawati and Mr. SBY.That proves the effective communication pattern of President Jokowi so that can bring together two former presidents," said PPP Deputy Secretary General Achmad Baidowi in Jakarta, Friday (18/08/2017 )

Baidowi said that the incident was not merely a meeting between two different presidential presidents or two political party chairpersons but there was a symbolic meaning that the communication freeze was beginning to melt.

It was according to him as well as proof of democracy maturity that different opinions or different political affiliations do not break the ropes of friendship between children of the nation.

"That wherever by any position, we can together and unite to build the nation," he said.

Members of Commission II of the House of Representatives hope that meeting the two country's elite to become an example for the younger generation that the difference is the grace of God that need not always be contradicted with each other.

Earlier, the fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri and the sixth President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono were present at the Presidential Palace to attend the ceremony commemorating the 72nd anniversary of Indonesian Independence on Thursday (17/8).

In the event, Megawati Soekarnoputri and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono greeted each other and greeted each other.

Megawati was never present in the celebration of Indonesian Independence Anniversary at the Palace for ten years SBY took office. However, after SBY stepped down and replaced Jokowi, Megawati never missed celebrating Independence Day at the Palace.

Meanwhile, the presence of SBY in the independence ceremony at the Presidential Palace was the first time after step down as the sixth President of RI.

On the anniversary of RI in 2015 and 2016 then, SBY prefer to celebrate independence in his hometown in Pacitan, East Java.
