VP Ma’ruf Amin to Close 20th PON in Papua

INDUSTRY.co.id - Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, on Friday (15/10), is scheduled to close the 20th National Sports Week (PON) in Papua at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Jayapura regency. The Vice President, his spouse Ibu Wury Ma’ruf Amin, and his entourage landed at Sentani Airport, Jayapura regency at around 15.20 Eastern Indonesia Time.

They were greeted by Papua Governor Lukas Enembe and members of the Papua Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

The Vice President is scheduled to stay in Jayapura for two days. In addition to closing the PON, the Vice President is slated to greet the public at the Inpres VIM 1 Elementary School and the Indonesian Christian Church (GKI) in Papua Land of the Kotaraja Papuan Pniel Congregation, Jayapura city.

The Vice President will chair an integrated coordination meeting to discuss the acceleration of welfare development and measures against extreme poverty in five priority regencies this year.

Ma’ruf Amin will also inaugurate Vocational Training Centers (BLK) for the community at the Papua Alom Campus of the Global Mission International Indonesia (GMII) Foundation, Sentani, Jayapura regency.
