Menpora Expects People to Become Volunteers Related to Asian Games 2018

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Minister of Youth and Sports Imam Nahrawi appreciated the countdown of the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta Monument (National Monument) and Benteng Kuto Besak in Palembang on Friday night. (08/18/2017)

"This countdown activity adds to our belief in the success of the Asian Games event because of many unexpected things that can be displayed," said Menpora after attending the 2018 Asian Games Games countdown in Jakarta.

Menpora is optimistic that the implementation of the Asian Games countdown activities will be a reflection of the success of the opening and closing ceremonies that give impressive performances for both Indonesians and participants from Asian countries.

"This event should be an energy for all of us to support the organization of the Asian Games, I hope that the community will be involved in volunteering, social consolidation and in the economic activities related to the Asian Games," said Menpora.

In the 2018 Asian Games recount, President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla were present with First Lady Hajah Iriana Joko Widodo and President of the 5th Megawati Soekarnoputri in Monas, Jakarta.

The President initiated the countdown ceremony by releasing the arrows to the target board in the form of a light emiting diode that enlivens all light and multimedia. The release of the arrows at the same time became the momentum of countdown in two hours digital at Roundabout Hotel Indonesia Jakarta and Gelora Sriwijaya Jakabaring Stadium Palembang.

The Asian Games 2018 countdown event was also attended by 2018 Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) Erick Thohir and representatives of the Asian Olympic Council (OCA).

"I believe that the performance of the Asian Games countdown is a matter of pride and shows the seriousness of Indonesia to host," Erick said.

The Asian Games 2018 countdown ceremony was also enlivened by a number of artists from both inside and outside the country. In addition, the organizing committee also performed a colossal dance with the title Ruwat Bumi that reflects the appreciation of Asian confidence to Indonesia as the host.
