INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian ordered South Kalimantan Police Chief Brigadier General Police Rachmat Mulyana to reward drivers who upload police videos involving illegal levies (pungli).
"If the incident is true then the uploader will not be given justice reward (reward) for reporting Polri members who betrayed the institution," said Tito through a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday (19/08/2017)
Tito asserted bribery will provide legal consequences to the recipient or the giver but if it happens according to the fact then the police personnel who will be processed the law.
Furthermore, Tito declares unlawful extortion video uploader may be subject to Electronic Transaction Information (ITE) law.
Related to the allegation of illegal levies by members of the Police in the jurisdiction of South Kalimantan Police, Tito instructed the Head of the Division of Profession and Security of Police and the Chief of Police to lower the team to follow up the report.
Meanwhile, South Kalimantan Police Chief Brig. Gen. Police Rachmat Mulyana justify members of the Central Hulu Sungai Police station who served in South Labuan Polsek Aiptu MM and Bripka DB were involved in illegal fees.
