Perindo Party Distributes Free Rice for Disadvantaged People in Surabaya

INDUSTRY.co.id - Surabaya - Perindo Party distributes free rice to poor citizens in Surabaya. The event was held at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) office in Jalan Embong Ploso on Friday (18/08/2017). In addition, Perindo Party also conducted a blood donation social action.

"Activities that we have done this routine is a social service program to lighten the burden of society. Not only in Surabaya and East Java, such activities are also conducted in Jakarta, West Java, Central Java and outside Java," said Hary Tanoesoedibjo, Chairman of DPP Perindo Party, in Surabaya, Friday (18/08/2017).

Hary argued, the activity will not only take place this year alone, but will continue in the coming years. With the help of sembako, in the form of this rice, the burden of the community is expected to be reduced.

"This social activity is a Perindo Party activity implemented by Kartini Perindo," said Hary. On the occasion, hundreds of residents were very enthusiastic to welcome the presence of Hary Tanoesoedibjo. They, including the online motorcycle taxi drivers who attended, capture the moment by doing a photo with Hary Tanoesoedibjo.

Meanwhile, Lina Rosita, Chairman of DPW Kartini Perindo Jatim, asserted, Perindo Party in social activities has prepared hundreds of packets of rice. Residents who are targeted in receiving free rice assistance are those who belong to the family group cannot afford and live around the office of PMI Surabaya.

"We do this social activity with the spirit to share with others," added Lina.

Related to the Blood Donation social activity, the activity was held in Surabaya PMI office. In this activity, Kartini Perindo invites people to like to donate blood to help others.

As is known, about 60% of the total blood supply at PMI Surabaya City is supplied to Dr. Soetomo. The rest is distributed to other hospitals spread in Surabaya.

PMI Surabaya even sent blood stocks out of town such as Lamongan, Pamekasan, and Sumenep. According to Lina, blood donation activities are also aimed at introducing citizens to the importance of sharing with others. On the occasion Hary Tanoesoedibjo also participated donate blood.
