INDUSTRY.co.id - Wamena - SOE Minister Rini Soemarno realizes the decline in the price of cement in Puncak Jaya and Jayawijaya, Papua. The initial price of cement that reaches millions of rupiah, now only become hundreds of thousands of rupiah per sack.
"In the Puncak Jaya regency, the price drops to Rp500 thousand, in Jayawijaya Regency the price is Rp370 thousand," said Rini in Wamena, the capital of Jayawijaya regency, Tuesday (8/22/2017).
Rini said, before the price reduction, cement in Puncak Jaya regency reaches the price of two million rupiah per sack.
"Previously, the Regent of Jayawijaya said here it is about Rp500 to Rp580 thousand, so per this day for Semen Tonasa Rp370 thousand for Jayawijaya. Later all the original distributors from Semen Tonasa, it will sell Rp370 thousand per sack for 40 kilogram cement, "Said Rini.
Rini said, the distribution of cement to Jayawijaya and Puncak Jaya will be via flight from Mimika Regency. "Now we start to improve the transportation system, so we can press the price of transportation so we enter from Timika-Wamena and Wamena to Puncak Jaya," said Rini.
She assured the Ministry of SOEs has worked with Pelni, Pelindo 4, Indonesian Trade Company (PPI), PT Semen Tonasa together with Semen Indonesia as the parent company, to reduce the price of cement, especially in districts with inadequate transportation access.
