INDUSTRY.co.id - Palembang - South Sumatera Governor Alex Noerdin said, coffee milling business as an effort in improving the economy of society, so the promotion event should be maximized.

"So the Sriwijaya Festival takes the theme 'Kopi Kita Kopi Giling Lokal' is very appropriate in promoting the typical drink, said the governor in Palembang, Wednesday (23/08/2017)

Therefore, the governor said, the business of Kilingifood coordinated coffee in the Sriwijaya Festival needs to be supported together.

According to him, coffee for South Sumatra is one of the leading commodity, so if milled including well packed, then the selling price will increase.

Accordingly, the promotion of milled coffee through the event of Sriwijaya Festival is very appropriate in increasing the income of the community.

In addition, these activities become a form of readiness of South Sumatra to support the successful development of Indonesia's creative economy.

What is clear, he added, the theme of "Kopi Kita Kopi Giling Lokal" is very appropriate because the best coffee comes from South Sumatra namely Semendo Coffee.

This proves that milled coffee has its own value which is also defensive, he said.

He said, in relation that let's together improve the quality of coffee so that the selling price is higher.
