Stock Abundant, Red Onion Price in Sumenep Decreased Up to Rp 2000 Perkilo

INDUSTRY.co.id - Sumenep - The price of onion in the traditional market Sumenep gradually fell. Until now, the price of onion decreased Rp 2,000 to Rp 16,000 per kg from the previous price of Rp 18,000 per kg.

"The price of onion has decreased since last week, initially Rp 18,000 per kg, and this week it decreased again to Rp 16,000 per kg," said Head of Trade, Sumenep Industry and Trade Office, Sukaris, Thursday (24/08/2017).

Sukaris rate, the decline in the price of the onion because of the abundance of stock, considering in some areas of the center of onion producers are now beginning to enter the harvest.

"This onion is similar to chili, including commodities that are not durable, so the price is fluctuating," he said.

While commodities that also experienced a decline in prices are large red peppers and small red peppers. Big red chili has decreased the price of Rp 1,000 per kg, and small pepper has decreased the price of Rp 3,000 per kg.

"Currently the price of large red pepper Rp 9,000 per kg, and small chilli Rp 12,000 per kg.Chicken prices continue to sag, almost every day there is a decrease in price," he said.

Other commodities this week are relatively stable. Broiler chicken meat remains Rp 30 thousand per kg, chicken meat Rp 80 thousand per kg, and beef is also stable Rp 110 thousand per kg.

"For chicken eggs, the fixed race is Rp 20 thousand per kg, and chicken eggs Rp 38.400 per kg," he said.

While the price of rice also did not change, the medium quality rice IR 64 Rp 9,500 per kg, and the village IR Rp 8,500 per kg. Then the bulk cooking oil also remains Rp 12,000 per kg.

Sumenep Industry and Trade Office monitored the price of basic food in two traditional markets, namely Pasar Anom Baru as the main market, and Pasar Bangkal as a comparison.
