Direktur Penyidikan KPK Brigjen Aris Budiman
INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - KPK Director of Investigation Brigadier General Aris Budiman revealed that there are "strong people" in the KPK who can disrupt the work of the institution in eradicating corruption, such as step in organizing KPK investigator personnel.
"This is not a gang, but one of the investigators explained to me that there had been a problem since the appointment of an internal investigator, so this is a position-related friction," Aris said at a Public Hearing Committee meeting on KPK rights at the Nusantara Building, Jakarta, Tuesday / 8/2017)
Aris admitted in desperate need of investigators, therefore several times he proposed to recruit investigators especially from the Police.
He said he asked for a police commissioner (Kompol) investigator but was opposed by one group for wanting an Adjunct Senior Police Adjunct Commissioner (AKP).
"I have brought the matter to the meeting with the Deputy for KPK's Repression, which is opposed by the group that does not agree with my policy," he said.
He said many of the officers were good, educated and wanted to have a chance to work at the KPK but Aris's proposal was not approved and changed in the meeting.
According to him, there are investigators who opposed what he proposed and they stated that the KPK has received investigators with the rank of AKP, but he thinks that the important thing is to have good professionalism.
"The other reason given by the opponents is because if the investigator is in the rank of Kompol is not effective, the KPK all work so that if Kompol enters it will disrupt the work stability of KPK but I still accept," he said.
He termed a "click" in the KPK that actually jeopardized the institution and there were people who were too "powerful" to influence policy at the KPK.
Aris insists the person is not a KPK commissioner and if there is an institutional policy that is not an idea with the person then it will not run effectively.
He was initially reluctant to reveal investigators who opposed his policies and those who judged the "powerful".
Pansus then deepened again Aris intent. Member of Pansus Junimart Girsang assess all KPK investigators must hear and follow the policy of the Director of Investigation Commission.
Therefore he asks if the hard investigator against Aris policy is a senior investigator KPK named Novel Baswedan, and then Aris answered correctly concerned. (Ant)
