Warehouse Sale, Matahari Close Two Store by the End Of September

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Two Matahari outlets located in Pasaraya Manggarai and Blok M are closed later this month. As a result both branches of Matahari was doing a large warehouse Sale. PT Matahari Departement Store Tbk provides massive discounts for all products up to 75 percent.

"The closure is due to a quiet mall that resulted in the performance of both outlets are not in accordance with the management target," said Corporate Secretary and Legal Director of PT Matahari Department Store Tbk Miranti Hadisusilo, Saturday (16/09/2017)

She said, the determination of the amount of discount is also made after the negotiation process with its suppliers. Because most of the products suppliers that exist in Matahari using a consignment system.

"We have most of the products consigned, if we sell the new transfer, there is a product that is direct purchase, we buy the drop off our stocks, such as Nevada and Cole, but most consignment, so we talk to them first to determine the discount," she added.

Previously reported, Matahari Department Store decided to close both outlets because not able to reap the profit. During 2 years of operation, both outlets only reap the profit at certain moments like Lebaran.

"Usually a year has also seen this trend up, but this has been 2 years still not on target, baseball profit. Finally we cut loss," she said.
