Statement of the TNI Commander is not a Public Consumption

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Head of Information Center (Kapuspen) TNI Maj. Gen. Wuryanto, asserted, the statement of TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo about the institution ordering 5,000 weapons by taking the name of President Joko Widodo, not for public consumption.

"We have already mentioned that the statement of the TNI Commander in the event of friendship with retired TNI is not for public consumption or off the record," said Kapuspen TNI, at TNI Headquarters Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Monday (25/09/2017)

In fact, continued Kapuspen TNI, TNI Commander has stated that TNI Commander General Gatot Nurmantyo never made an official statement (press release) about the illegal weapons.

"There are friends who happen to be able to record his statement, but we have to say not to be reported," he said.

Demand for off the record, Wuryanto said, has been guaranteed in the Law on Press, so it is worth to be respected.
