INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of the Republic of Indonesia, Zulkifli Hasan, hopes that the anniversary of the TNI's 72nd anniversary will be the momentum for institutional and professional strengthening so that it will be respected by other countries internationally.
"I see the main weapon system weaponry system is still minimal," said Zulkifli Hasan at the MPR / DPR / DPD RI Building on Wednesday (4/10/2017) when asked about the 72nd anniversary of the TNI.
According to Zulkifli, this defense equipment becomes very important for the TNI as a state tool in maintaining the country's resilience.
The existence of alutsista, he said, also became an indicator for other countries to measure the military strength of a country.
Zulkifli also appealed to the House of Representatives and the Government to increase the TNI budget to complete its alutsistanya.
"Hopefully, the anniversary of the 72nd anniversary of the TNI, on Thursday, can be a momentum of institutional strengthening and professionalism, through an increase in the budget," he said.
The anniversary of TNI's 72nd anniversary is scheduled to take place at Pantai Indah Kiat Dock, Cilegon, Banten, Thursday (10/05/2017). At the peak of the anniversary commemoration, the TNI will defile weapons and fighting weapons involving tanks and helicopters.
