INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - First Travel Bureau owners must be able to compensate for all potential pilgrims who fail to leave for the Umrah pilgrimage, and it should not be imposed on the government.
"The demands of losses for pilgrims to be replaced by the state such as Lapindo actually become a bad precedent," said Member of Commission VIII DPR Endang Maria Astuti in the release, received in Jakarta, Friday (13/10/2017)
According to him, if the demands related to the payment of losses are directed to the government, then those who will benefit are the offending travel agency.
Golkar Party politician asserted, should the owner of First Travel continue to be pursued so as not to run away from the responsibility of the problems created by him.
He argues that taking money out of the state budget can be called taking people's own money. "It's so unfair that people should be smart to see the case," he said.
Endang also expressed his hope that whatever the decision should be followed up so that the victims can get a quick solution and no longer parties who throw each other responsibility.
As proclaimed, appropriate formula and can satisfy various parties related to the compensation suffered by candidates for First Travel pilgrims need to be discussed specifically by various institutions that deal with the issue.
Vice Chairman of the Commission VIII DPR RI Noor Achmad told reporters in Jakarta on Thursday (12/10), said that the compensation formula associated First Travel journey needs to involve many parties.
According to him, a number of institutions related to the formula include the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Police of the Republic of Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority, as well as the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center.
In the future, he said, the House of Representatives Commission VIII will hold meetings with various institutions so that the right formula can be submitted to the congregation.
He also asserted, the proposal from pilgrims to First Travel is not bankrupted before paying compensation also gets the board approval.
This is because if it has been bankrupt, then the losses suffered by prospective pilgrims most likely will not be returned.
