Sampoerna Agro Back Prepare Desa Siaga Api

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk again held a forest and land fire standby appointment with the Fire Care Group and Fire Care Society that has been fostered in its operational area.

Activities of standby apple simultaneously October 17, 2017 at two operational areas of the company in Landak District and Ketapang District of West Kalimantan, Sampoerna Agro CEO Marc Louette said in a statement on Thursday (19/10/2017)

As for the operational area in South Sumatra, the standby apple was held in Gading Jaya, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency on October 18, 2017.

"We want to hold all the elements from internal, government and community to work together in improving preparedness in order to prevent and cope with Karhutla disaster," he said.

Overall, the event was attended by more than 600 apprentices in the form of troop titles consisting of elements of the TNI, Police, 46 firefighters and 7 MPA, 208 personnel damkar Company, Karang Taruna, Students, team BPBD, Manggala Agni, Village Unit Cooperative, citizens of the general public.

Marc claimed to be proud of the achievements of the last three years of smoke free. He also stressed that this can be achieved with the commitment not only from the elements of Government, Police, TNI, BPBD only, but also solid cooperation from business actors, community organizations and society in general.

This standby ceremony is the closing ceremony of a series of activities of Desa Siaga Api Program which includes the formation, training, team reinforcement and accompanied by a race for all KTPA and MPA cadres.

This 2017 event is a continuation of training for KTPA and MPA which began in 2016, but with a broader coverage and involving more than 500 cadres from around 53 villages in 15 sub-districts located in the vicinity of the company's operational area.

About 40 percent of the empowered villages are from South Sumatra, the rest comes from West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

He explained that Desa Siaga Api Program is a corporate initiative to create synergy between the three parties namely companies, communities, and government.
