INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Sharia economy is in demand by Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. The countries are targeting halal-based services because they want to take advantage of global demand.
Indonesia also has to start to be realistic to the global halal market that the number is extraordinary.
"This shows that other countries are well prepared with their real sector," said Minister of National Development Planning (Bappenas / Bappenas) Bambang Brodjonegoro during the "Halal Lifestyle" event in Jakarta on Thursday (" 19/10/2017).
He said Indonesia also has to start to be realistic to the global halal market that the number is extraordinary.
Bambang argues that if Indonesia wants to become a hub or center of sharia industry, it is necessary to encourage sharia-based real sector in synergy with sharia banking.
"If the real sharia sector is not big enough, then the lack of demand for sharia banking credit is also limited," he said.
