KPK Extends Detention of Kutai Kartanegara Regent

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The KPK extends the detention period of Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari, suspected corruption crime bribery granting location permit for the core and plasma of oil palm plantations in Kupang Baru Village, Muara Kaman Subdistrict to PT Sawit Golden Prima.
"There has been an extension of detention to Rita Widyasari for 40 days ahead from 27 October to 5 December 2017," said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah at KPK building, Jakarta, Thursday (26/10/2017).
KPK has established Kutai Kartanegara Regent Rita Widyasari and two others as suspected alleged bribery and gratification acceptance in Kutai Kertanegara Regency.
Based on the development of the investigation, the KPK found sufficient initial evidence of corruption accepting gratuities so the KPK increased the status of case handling to the investigation with three suspects.
Suspected as the recipient in the case of a bribe, the Regent of Kutai Kartanegara Rita Widyasari while suspected as a giver, namely the Director of PT Sawit Golden Prima Hery Susanto Gun.
While allegedly as the recipient of gratuities, namely Rita Widyasari and commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama Khairudin.
Hery Susanto Gun allegedly gave a sum of Rp 6 billion to Rita Widyasari related to giving location permit for core and plasma of oil palm plantation in Kupang Baru Village, Muara Kaman Subdistrict to PT Sawit Golden Prima.
Bribes allegedly received around July and August 2010 and indicated intended to smooth the process of location licensing of PT Sawit Golden Prima.
In addition, Rita Widyasari and Khairudin allegedly together receive gratuities related to the office and contrary to the duties and obligations.
Namely in the form of money amounting to 775 thousand US dollars or equivalent Rp6, 975 billion associated with a number of projects in Kutai Kartanegara during the term of the suspect.
