Director General and Human Resources (HR), Amrullah through a written statement received by Redaction in Jakarta, Friday (3/11/2017) said the competitive effort is implied by improving the better corporate governance.
PT Semen Baturaja (Persero), has just won the 2017 Corporate Governance Award with nine other State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
The award was received directly by the Director General and Human Resources (HR), Amrullah at the Indonesia Good Corporate Governance Award (IGCA) III event at Crown Plaza Hotel, South Jakarta.
Amrullah expressed the appreciation received by Semen Baturaja to show the public if the company has implemented good and professional governance in running its business.
"In addition, most importantly the company will also be more competitive," he said.
IGCA III was held this year thanks to the cooperation of Economic Review, among others, with IPMI International Business School and Sinergy Daya Prima.
Founder and President Director of Economic Review, Irlisa Rachmadiana, at the opening of the event convey, there are still many companies slumped due to the implementation of bad corporate governance.
As a result, according to Irlisa, many fraud happened or no investors were willing to buy shares of related companies.
"Therefore it is important for the company to have knowledge about good corporate governance (GCG) in running its business," said Irlisa.
Apart from SOEs, the winners of IGCA III-2017 also come from private companies, Regional Milk Business Enterprise (BUMD), Regional Development Bank (BPD) and Rural Bank (BPR). This award is expected to enable companies in Indonesia to accelerate their role in the implementation of GCG
