"Based on the latest report we got from the Directorate of Flight Navigation, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has been affected and is in the vulcano ash area of ​​Gunung Agung, so the Directorate General of Air Transport decided to close Ngurah Rai Airport on the grounds of flight safety," Sukarno said.

With regard to the closure of the airport, all aircraft operators at Ngurah Rai Airport must comply and do not make flights until they obtain a safety permit from the competent authority. In addition, all airline operators, both airlines and airport managers, must work hand in hand to provide services to passengers.
