Chinese tourists to Bali up 51.52 Percent Period from January to November 2017

INDUSTRY.co.id - Bali - A total of 1.37 million Chinese tourists visiting Bali during the period of January - November 2017 jumped or 467,292 people or 51.52 percent compared with the same period of the previous year totaling 907,028 people.
"The people of the Bamboo Curtain country come to Bali mostly by Ngurah Rai Airport Bali, by boarding a plane that flies directly from the country, only 164 pass through the sea port by cruise ship," said Head of BPS Bali Adi Nugroho in Denpasar, Thursday (11/1/2018).
He said the visit of Chinese people to enjoy the natural scenery as well as the uniqueness of Balinese art and culture that occupy the top ranking of the ten most countries supplying tourists to Bali.
The country is able to contribute 25.54 percent of total foreign tourists to Bali as much as 5.38 million people during the 11 months of 2017. The total number of tourists to Bali that increased by 896,691 people or 19.99 percent, because the same period of previous years Bali received only 4.48 million tourists.
After China, Australian tourist arrivals contributed 18.87 percent, India 4.53 percent, Japan 4.42 percent, Britain 4.25 percent, the United States 3.30 percent, France 3.17 percent, Germany 3.15 percent, South Korea 3.12 percent and Malaysia 2.88 percent.
Of the ten countries supplying most tourists to Bali mostly experienced a significant increase, only two countries experienced a decline of Australia3.02 percent and Malaysia 2.66 percent.
Adi Nugroho added that the increasing number of Chinese tourists visiting Bali has been happening in recent years thanks to various factors, one of which is the better cooperation between the Chinese government and Indonesia, especially Bali.
In addition, thanks to the breakthrough made by the airline Nusantara, namely Garuda Indonesia with its focus on the flight path China-Denpasar, Bali go-back (PP). With the relatively smooth air transport causing the increase number of foreign tourists coming from China to Bali increased significantly.
