OJK-BEI Ensures Securities Trading Activity Still Runs

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The financial services authority (OJK) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) confirmed the securities trading activity on Tuesday (16/1), tomorrow will run normally.
Chief Executive Officer of OJK Capital Markets, Hoesen in Jakarta, Monday night (15/1/2018) said that the securities trading system in BEI is not disturbed due to the collapse of the first floor hallway in tower II Indonesia Stock Exchange building.
"Alhamdulillah activity today is normal, tomorrow also keep running properly considering the securities trading system can be done online, broker office (securities company) which is in tower II BEI also been coordinated," he said.
He added that the system in Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) and the Indonesian Clearing Guarantee Securities (KPEI) is also in normal condition, so that the transaction settlement process in the capital market will continue to run.
Recorded, Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) in trading today closed at the level of 6238.19 points, or up 0.19 percent from the close of trading Friday (12/1).
The total daily trading value of BEI today is Rp7.90 trillion, the total volume of IDX daily trading of 10.77 billion units of shares. The total daily trading frequency of IDX is 293,83 thousand transactions.
The same thing was also conveyed by President Director of BEI, Tito Sulistio. He stated securities trading on Tuesday (16/1/2018) will run normally as usual.
Meanwhile, the accident incident, he continued, is still being followed up by IDX building manager (PT First Jakarta International) and coordinating with Metro Jaya Regional Police.
He added that his side will also continue to coordinate with related parties, especially with STIE Bina Dharma who was visiting the BEI.
