LRT Projects Girder Box Fall, Wika Beton Give Explanation

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Construction of the inter-span P28-P29 LRT project collapsed on Jln Kayu Putih Raya Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Monday (22/1/2018) at 00.20 WIB early this morning

On the incident, PT Wika Beton Tbk (WTON) issuer responded to the occurrence of the fall of the gear box of the Velodrome LRT project.

"We need to explain the following, The erection work (install product) by VSL on span P28-P29 located near the Velodrome crashed at 00.20 WIB," Yushadi, Investor Relations, PT Wika Beton through official statement.

He asserted there were no casualties and there are 2 people currently being treated at the hospital. "The cause of the incident is still under investigation," he said briefly.

Just so you know, the girder box installation project on the 6 km LRT project is divided into 5 sections with the division of labor as follows:

Section 1-2 (Velodrome Rawamangun Simpang 4 Pulomas) is done by VSL. "This tragedy occurred in section 1 close to the Velodrome," he said.

Section 3-4 (Simpang 4 Pulomas La Piazza) is done by Wika Beton, which was completed last week without any shortage of any one. Section 5 (La Piazza Depo LRT) by PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk.

"The next update will be informed later after investigation this morning," he added.
